This year was my first year of college. It's almost over thank god! haha. It wasn't too bad. If you compare it to what you read in the magzines and stuff it isn't that bad. Well our college only has a small dorm. Since there are only a limited amount of dorms there isn't must partying going on and you only go to school for 2 years. But, college is different from highschool.
In college you get more freedom and more responsibility. They let you be in charge of your future. It really all depends on how hard you work, if you feel like it, or if you don't want to. It's hard for me to motivate myself to do my homework. But, I made it through the first year of college. It isn't as bad as you think it is.

Driving
Today I went to the mall with my sister. We had to go to the bank and take out money for her. On our way to the bank there was this old man driving very slowly on a road with a speed limit of 30. He was going 25 when he could be going 35. That makes me very mad. You could say I have road rage. Later, after we took out money we went to onalaska to go shopping.
On our way there, there was an old lady driving 10 mph under the speed limit. I just don't get why people drive if they are going to go under the speed limit. It bugs me to be behind someone driving so slow. The way I think about it, why go slow if you could be there sooner?
I think old people with gray to white hair, mostly white hair, or men who are bald, shouldn't be driving. Some drive too slow to the point where it interferes with traffic. Over the years I have noticed that older people do tend to drive slower. It might be because back in there days they drove with more caution versus our generation.

Cable
Cable is such a waste! I have cable TV and it is such a waste of money! They always re-run the same tv shows over and over again. They barely ever do any good tv shows. I also hate it when they do stupid advertisements late at night. It's ridiculous how they do that. There are days when I get to finally stay up late and all they have is advertisements. The same one's at the same time everyday!
I think it's a waste for cable but, my family likes it since they only watch it in the morning mostly. My cable also only plays old movies from the 1900's and higher. It is so boring. I think it might just be the cable service you get. We pay so much for our cable, internet, and phone service. It's about $150.00 a month. I guess I would only recommend a cheap cable service with only some channels or get alot of channels so you can watch the good tv shows.

Vacation
School has been so stressful lately. I think it's time for a vacation. If I were to go on a vacation where would I go? I would most likely go to a water park. You would be having fun and not anywhere near doing nothing. Going to a Tropical area would be beautiful I am sure but, the thought of lizards all around creeps me out. I wouldn't know what to do. I feel like there wouldn't be much to do. Going to a water park keeps you occupied.
This May my family plans on going to Kalahari, one of the worlds largest water parks. I think that is a great place to go because you can play in the indoor theme park, arcade, or swim. They even have a spa and salon for anyone, even kids. It's a great place for all ages. I love how it's in Wis Dells which means you can go to the Tangent Mall. I love to shop so that's a plus. Over all, it sounds like a great place I am glad that I will get to experience it all.

Snow and Ice
Lately the weather has been nice. But, it's getting colder again. We are supposed to get a snow storm with up to 6 inches. It makes me mad; it's already spring. I don't get why it is still cold and why we are supposed to get 6 inches of snow tonight.
Snow is beautiful but, I hate it. It's so dangerous. This one day I was thinking to myself; is the snow more dangerous or ice. They are both slippery and can cause you to slide. I guess everyone has their own opinions but, i'd personally say snow is more dangerous.
When it snows it covers everything under it. For example if there were ice under the snow you wouldn't be able to see it at all. That would cause you to brake too fast and slide. But, ice does the same with the sliding.

Egg Rolls vs. Spring Rolls
Which is the best Egg Rolls or Spring Rolls? I will be judging it from my opinion. To start off I will talk about Egg Rolls. They are very delicious appetizers! It contains noodles, cabbage, carrots, onion, black pepper, salt, meat (pork, beef, or shrimp), and anything else the maker would want to add. All the ingredients get mixed up in a big bowl and then wrapped in wrappers. After wrapping it it gets deep fried in a big pot or pan of oil. Then it's ready to be eaten. It's something that everyone has to try. I am assuming everyone has already. It may be oily but the taste is very satisfying. For Egg rolls on a one being the best and five being the worst scale i'd give it a one.
The next thing is Spring Rolls. They are also very good. There are 2 types of spring rolls. One with lettuce that doesn't need any cooking and one with cilantro and onions that does need to be cooked. The spring rolls with the lettuce is basially like a salad wrapped in an almost clear wrapper. The wrapper is round like a taco wrapper but it's not made of dough. When you roll the spring roll you can put many things in it. For example there is noodles, you can put shrimp, pork, beef, lettuce, cilantro, carrots, cucumbers, crab, basically anything. After wrapping it you just eat it. The other type of Spring Rolls are the ones made by cooking. First, the meat is cooked usually it's pork, then you add the chopped cilantro and onion into the meat. Then the powder packets are mixed with water and oil into a liquid solution. It will have some thickness to it. Then the liquid solution is put onto a pan with the utensil with a big deep round shape. When the liquid is cooked it becomes almost like a thin clay or dough but glossier, thinner, and more transparent. After the liquid is cooked it is put onto a big plate and someone puts the meat mixture in it. Then it is wrapped and ready to eat. All of these would be best to eat with cut up peppers with fish sauce and lime juice.
My recommendations out of all of them would be the Egg Rolls. It's delicious and you don't need to add much to make it taste better. It has alot more flavoring in your mouth versus the other two. The spring rolls are more of a plain salad healthier type of spring rolls.

Clicks, Clans, Groups
Something I don't understand is why people put others in a certain group. My cousins tend to do that a lot. It's like they make you seem worse then they are and you're put into a group where you are not so cool. At least not cool enough to be hanging out with them. I don't understand it. We are all human we all have to work to get to a better place in life. Just because you are richer doesn't mean you should let someone poorer suffer. If you just lend a hand you could both be rich and happy. Why can't we just stop with the childish play and just grow up? We all have to help each other to slowly advance up. Why do we need the groups to segregate us all?
I have these cousins where they think they are too good for anyone. Then I have these others one's who just came from Thailand not to long ago. My cousins who thought they were too good for anyone were the closet to the cousins from Thailand. But, they wouldn't help the cousins from Thailand. Whenever they needed translating they would come to us and ask us because the conceited cousins wouldn't help them. I mean just because they seem different they aren't. We are all the same. How could you just sit back and watch as your cousins are suffering to get to your level? It's so cruel!
Then, at schools there are kids who are segregated. For instance, preps, goths, Asians, etc. I noticed that in High school and lower you have to either fit into a group or make your own. I hated that. What if you had friends in all different types of groups? Why is it that preps are always like the rulers of the school. It's funny because you'd have your own group and since preps are so cool they'd always act rich. But, when you saw their cars oh my, their cars, they were older then your oldest sister or brother. It was funny. I mean how can you have all that money to by Hollister and A&E but, not have any money to even buy a newer car? I found that very strange.
As you can tell society has really set it's guidelines. You have to look a certain way just to fit in. You have to have a certain amount of money just to be able to "click" with any group. I blame society but, it could be something else.

My Trip to the Dells
This was the first time i'd actually stayed at rented house. Just like a real house had everything a house did. My sister and her husband had planned this trip for their friends, me and my 2 other sisters, and some of my brother in law's cousins.
When we first got there we choose our rooms by the order that we paid. The cabin had 6 rooms. The master bedroom was taken by my sister and her husband, of course. It was a huge room and also had a bathroom in it. The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower. The bathtub had a built in Jacizzi. Sadly, I never got the chance to try it out. In the bathroom there was a separte little, tiny room for the toilet which I thought was neat. The bathroom also had two big mirrors in it. I'd say 1/3 of the time when we were at home we were in the bathroom.
We picked our room downstairs in the basement. That's where most of the rooms were. Our room since we had three people, was a bunk bed in the basement. It was nice to be in a different atmosphere for a while.
The first night we played pool and got to know eachother better. On the next morning we ate and got ready to sking/tubing. When we got there it was very busy. There was a winterfest going on. We then decided to go horseback riding.
When we first got there we had to sign our lives away on a paper saying they wouldn't be responsible for anything bad that happens. I was so anxious and scared. I even told my brother in law not to laugh at me if I cry. I didn't even want to ride horses but, no one would let me stay back and wait so I had to go. We all got our horses.
I got a black horse named Jumbo. He was and adventurous horse. My horse kept making his own tracks and he kept trying to find food. I was scared because my horse wouldn't do what I wanted it to.
Later, after we went horseback riding we went to the Tangent Mall. After the mall we went to Walmart and Khols to find swimming suits. Then we went home ate again, got ready, and left to go swimming in the resort. The resort had an arcade, pool, gym, swimming pool, and hot tub. We swam and used the hot tub for an hour then went back to the house. At the house we relaxed and just hung out with everyone.
The day we left we had to cleaned the rented house. Everyone helped out in cleaning and getting things into people's cars. After we left we went to eat out at Denny's'; then we all headed home. Overall, my trip to the dells was fun. I enjoyed a little time away from the real world.
